Thumbtack's pro coverage varies by location and category. Some areas (especially rural ZIP codes) may have limited or no professionals in certain categories. Try a nearby ZIP code, a related category from the relevantCategories suggestions, or visit thumbtack.com directly.
Only if the assistant's integration is enabled for the Preset Job Toolset, and only in the categories that integration supports. With the Search Pros Toolset, users book on Thumbtack.com through the pro's profile link.
Thumbtack needs a US ZIP code to find local professionals, and the tools require one. You only need to provide it once per conversation — the assistant will remember it.
Just ask! Say something like "Actually, I need an electrician instead." The assistant will start a new search in the new category. You can also ask for category recommendations to see what services are popular or trending in your area.
Ratings and reviews are pulled from Thumbtack's live database and reflect the most recent data available. However, new reviews may take a short time to appear.
Search projects (identified by searchID) are automatically deleted after 7 days. If a follow-up filter call uses an expired searchID, the server automatically creates a new search with the same parameters as a fallback. Users do not need to take any action.
